Ryan Collett

Ryan (ryco) was the business manager of the Leeds office when I first joined Sthree as a rookie. He & the management team under his watch were key to my development in creating a successful career in recruitment. I would recommend Ryan to any recruiters or customers who would be interested in working with him. In a saturated sector, he is one of the good guys in the industry! (it's just a shame he supports Leeds United.) !

Ryan is one of my most trusted Sthree stakeholders and a leader in the business I have huge respect for. He leads with energy, optimism and an unwavering focus to bring success to everything he does. It is no surprise to me that Leeds shone brightly in 2024 and I am excited to see what Ryan will do in 2025. Ryan is the city leader that I have seen bring strategy to life better than any other. His ability to break that down, translate into key actionable areas and then drive across his business is unrivalled. That is critical to get the best from his people. From a customer perspective, Ryan couldn't be more passionate. He has a laser focus on new business development which is something our UK business currently needs. Balancing that with the maintenance and nurturing of our key existing relationships means that Leeds will leave no stone unturned to generate revenue and create opportunity. The collaboration with the CSF has always been ahead of others and the value he has placed on our function, for many years, shows that Ryan has always placed strategic importance on Customer. Ryan has a lot to share with Sthree UK and his advice, experience, innovation and commitment to continuous improvement offers so much to our business. Seeing him be promoted to a Director elevates his platform to do this but is also the right thing to do. He fulfils that role already and is an inspiring leader for the whole of the UK business to look up to.

I've had the privilege of working with Ryan since I joined the business in July 2019 as CMT Team Lead and have watched Ryan himself grow personally, but also grow the Leeds business from strength to strength along the way. Ryan has consistently demonstrated the qualities of a strong, effective leader who builds trust with his candidates, his clients and his team. Ryan has an exceptional ability to see the bigger picture but also the finer details which, through our recent Transformation programme in the UK, has been of the utmost importance in leading his team and business through this transitional period, whilst guiding his strategic vision and service excellence. I've worked closely with Ryan through multiple projects (Brand Alignments, UK Testing Week etc) throughout my tenure and have enjoyed working with him each time- Ryan has a way of anticipating challenges before they arise ensuring he and his teams are well prepared to succeed which has set him apart through the Transformation period. His dedication to succeed has consistently produced results and I'm looking forward to working closely with him through my role in Commercial and anything that comes next - he really is All In! Over the last year Ryan has been instrumental and has lead from the front through some challenging times. The passion that Ryan has brought since taking over BM position to making Leeds great again has been fantastic to be apart of and hearing comments from consultants about his management style are only ever positive. On a personal level i have loved working closely with Ryan again over the last 18 month implementing the customer journey and to have a BM who has the same passion and delivery to our customers has seen some fantastic customer changes and success. Working with Ryan leading from the front i am can only see additional success in Leeds. Thank you for all your support an guidance.

I believe great leaders, lead from the front, and this is exactly what Ryan does and what makes him great. His passion, enthusiasm a willingness to be the best really does set him apart. His clarity around strategy and process is the best I have seen and he has such a great impact on how he drives that. He has successfully given the tools and trust to the other leaders in the office which has been a great success. It's always a tough ask to implement change in an office, but Ryan has made it look effortless. We are all clear on our mission of being the best in class and I am excited to be apart of this journey and I can't wait to see us break records and hit endless milestones and achievement under his direction!

Ryan doesn't like long winded answers, so in summary - Ryan's absolutely great - he cares so much about the work he does and his people, he's passionate, fair, honest, clear, hard working, determined and goes above and beyond! He was so deserving of BM of the year in 2024.. Hopefully next stop Director of the year 2025?!

Ryan really cares about everything he does, and always does what he says he's going to do. He's why I will always be loyal to Leeds!

Ryan was part of the leadership team at SThree who hired me for the Leeds office. Having worked with Ryan for eleven years, I feel fairly qualified in saying that he is the best manager I've worked with for several reasons: he's direct and to the point with no dissembling (a trait I value very highly); he understands the job at a granular level and seeks to make the job as easy as possible for people to succeed by minimizing extraneous issues; he has a clear vision and process to achieve that vision which is regularly reviewed; he creates an enjoyable culture of hard work and ultimately success.
